Loving this Shovel

I love this Shovel. I nabbed the pick from Chop Cult. I'm thinking that my next project is going to be a shovel.

No Weld Sissy-Bar Fabrication

I started with mounting "rod ends" to my fender. This is usually where a welded bracket would go.

I then used a MAP gas torch to heat the steel bar I used for my "trial". I didn't want to ruin my expensive brass rod on my first try!

I didn't have to correct bend angles on the steel rod so my fender didn't follow the rear tire. Glad I made this mistake on the cheap piece of steel!

I made the corrections on the bends and mounted the bar. I think it came out great!!!

I've completely sucked at blogging

So I've completely dropped the ball on blogging. I'm hoping to pick up the pace and add some interesting things to the interwebs. I've got a new chopper, a 1973 Harley-Davidson Ironhead Sportster. I'm having fun dialing it in. I'm heading to the "Big Mountain Run" in Tennessee in May.

More to come...

Extended Mock-Up

As most of you can imagine, time became an issue on my build. I've got it running and am going to ride as-is until late fall. Then tear her down again for proper powdercoating and cleaner wiring. Just in time for World Of Wheels 2011!!!!

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum

So we just moved back to Birmingham a few months back. I'm so excited to be back for a variety of reasons, one being the fact that now I can go to the Barber's Vintage Motorsports Museum with only a 10 minute drive! Hear are a few pics from my latest trip a few weeks ago...enjoy!
