I just finished this Passport Wallet to hold my essentials during the El Diablo Run.  I'm pretty pumped on how it came out.  Last project of 2012! Happy New Year!!!

I wanna be Vannin'!

My old neighbor Nick has a buddy that is selling his 64 Econoline.  I went and checked it out and fell in love with it (of course).  I've never had an old car or truck and I'm trying to make some moves to get this van.

It has a 289 V8 with a C6 trans.

I love the stance on those wheels.  It runs and drives but needs some attention here and there.  That's the perfect car project in my opinion.  Something I can drive around while working on it over time!

It's a long shot for me to get it...basically have to sell my Pathfinder so who knows how long that will take.  Maybe the stars will align and I will be cruising around in this van!

"Clutch" for my Mother-In-Law

My Mother-In-Law is a very talented seamstress.  She is always making clothes and gifts for my daughter.  She also has been very supportive of me since I started working with leather.

I made this "Clutch" for her as a Christmas gift.

I really appreciate the kind words of encouragement from my friends and family.  Those comments keep me motivated to become better at leatherwork!

They Got My Vote

The guys from Gas Monkey Garage built a bike I'd be proud to own.  Hell, my next bike hopefully will be a slab shovel and it will look very similar to this!  It's PINK!!!!

The show is still going on as I type this, so I still don't know who won, but this is the bike that SHOULD win!

Dash Panel Progress

Spent a little more time on the dash panel for my Shovelhead.  Got it dyed and ready to lace.  I'm proud of how this is turning out.

Leather Dash Panel for my Shovelhead

I shipped my gas tanks to Shawn over at Imperial House for a proper paint job.  I can't wait to see what he comes up with.  I gave him just a rough idea and my choice in colors.  I've found it's best to let artists be artists and let them do their thing.

While they are away, I decided to spend some time on a new dash panel.  The first one I made was a quickie so I could cover some wiring before our COC trip down South.  I've got some time in on this one and I like the way it's progressing.

Love you Ross!

Essential Wallet

Finished up Nate's wallet tonight.  I'm calling this version "The Essential Wallet" - just enough room for the essentials!

Starting on Nate's belt this weekend.  Stay tuned!

In Progress Leatherwork

Nate The Painter is now a "Truck Drivin' Man" - driving big rigs across this great land of ours.  He's never been one to carry a wallet, so he asked me to make him something compact to hold his essentials.  CDL, paperwork, a few cards, some cash...that sort of thing.

Got it dyed today and should have it wrapped up this weekend.

Hope you like it Nate!

Golf Coach Gone Wild!

Huntingdon is a small Christian College in Montgomery, AL.  Their golf coach went NUTS after the team finished last in a tournament.

Stick with this past the 2:10 mark...it gets great.  Needless to say, he is looking for another job now.

Bama Swap and Drag - Recap

Such an awesome weekend at the Bama Swap and Drag.  Rickey and Michael Lewis put on a great event that is growing!  I was set up with my Inbred Brothers selling various parts and taking orders for leather goods.  I manned the both most of the day Saturday and didn't get to wander as much as I would have liked but here are a few pictures I got over the weekend.

Be sure to watch out for the dates of next Spring's edition of the Bama Swap and Drag.  You don't want to miss it!

Phil let Bill make a few passes on his awesome Buell!

Bill and AJ on Saturday Night.  AJ and the MS crew joined us for the weekend.  Always a good time with these dudes!

I got this shot of JT riding on Sunday morning.  We were in search of the finest breakfast meats and cheeses.

Kustom Jeff loaded up on Sunday morning.  I'm glad I got a picture of him riding.  He does such a great job documenting our trips and doesn't get much time on this side of the lens.

Great weekend!

Another Seat for Conte Kustoms

Just finished up another seat for Raph, of Conte Kustoms.  I'm delivering it to Raph's shop tomorrow and hopefully I can get some pictures of it on the bike.

Tanks a lot

Switched back to 3.5 gallon tanks on the Shovelhead. I like the purple AMF tanks but the shape of the 3.5's just do it or me.

Swap Meet Score!

Kustom Jeff took some cool pictures of my Barbers Swap Meet Score.  I can't wait to see Kathryn's face on Christmas Morning!

Check out Kustom Jeff's blog "What I See" to keep up with "what he sees" (linked on the right).

Thanks for the pics, Cuz!

I'm going to miss her...

Looks like the Alabama 1/2 Sack may be heading to a new home in Sunny California.  I've sold a few motorcycles before, but this one is different for some reason.

I want to thank every one of my buddies who has helped me, with both knowledge and/or moral support, get this motorcycle in the shape it's in now.

I'm going to miss her...but the Shovel is road-ready and I'm going to enjoy tinkering with her over the winter.

I hate the term "you can't keep 'em all" but in this case, for me, it's fitting.
