Itchin' to start on the Long Haul Shovel

Winter is coming and I can't wait to get started on my "Long Haul Shovel". I will be on the lookout for a few more items at the Bama Swap and Drag in November.

I'm moving over the weekend and hope to get my shop up and running soon after.

It's probably hard to get a picture of what I'm going for but rest assured I can see this bike in my head! Can't wait to get started!!!

Gasbox Ironhead

Chop Cult did a feature on Gasbox in Ohio last week. Today they featured a sweet Ironhead that they built for a customer. This thing is rad...check out the feature here:

Awesome Indian

This 1940 Indian Scout showed up at the Garco swap meet spot on Sunday. I had to jump up and take some pictures even though I was EXHAUSTED from my record setting Longboard Run the night before!!!

Hopefully this bike will stay just as it is for another 71 years!

Barber's Recap Part 1

Wow what a weekend! I had a great time with friends both old and new. I spent the majority of my time in the Swap Meet @ the Garco booth. I did get a chance to check out just about all of the events throughout the 3 days.

I'm going to make a separate post for each day...

Ed meeting the neighbors

Ross relaxing at our campsite on Thursday night

Dinner time!

Spenser told me about a 16" juice drum wheel that would work perfect for my "long haul shovel" build. First score of the weekend!

Our campsite before everyone arrived...

More to come for sure!

Barber Vintage Festival

Starts Friday!!! Big Boss Ross and I are camping out tomorrow night if any of you make it to Birmingham early! Vintage Motorcycle Nirvana is what I'm after.

Highs in the low 80's, lows in the mid 50's...perfect!!!

Be back Monday with a recap of the weekend!!!

Angry Yankee Seat

Joel over at "Angry Yankee" sent over a prototype solo seat made out of walnut! He posted a thread over on Chop Cult:
http://www.chopcult.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14014&page=3

I volunteered to put some miles on the seat and let him know how it works out. I think it looks killer, but am wondering what my a$$ will feel like after the first ride!

Thanks to Joel for letting the Speed Shop provide some R&D!!!

More to come...

Kung Pow Cafe

Check out the October/November issue of Street Chopper. Garage Co. Customs' "Kung Pow Cafe" CB is featured. Great pictures by Benji Laney.

Here are some pictures I took today at the shop. This bike always catches my eye. Spenser did an awesome job fabbing up the tailsection out of an XS650 gas tank!

Big Boss Ross @ Southpaw Machine made the rear brake bracket and tank badges.

Here's a shot of the awesome paint by Blue Moon Customs and the tank badge from Ross @ Southpaw Machine. Killer work!!!
