New Year's Weekend

Today's my birthday and I'm stoked on the good weather forecast! Tried to get out for a ride this afternoon but my chopper lost it's spark. Taking it to GarCo tomorrow and some of my friends are going to help me sort it out. I hope we can get it going because I want to end 2011 with a chopper ride with my friends!!!

My wife got me this awesome Biltwell vest for Xmas/Birthday. It came in today and is sweet!

Thanks baby!

Took this pic today of my first saddlebag. It's the long haul/bigger version!

Swingin' Inspiration

Looks like my shovel motor rebuild is going to take a little longer than I hoped. It's given me time to re-think the direction of my build. Chop Cult has an awesome thread for swing arm choppers. Below are a few that caught my eye.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Biker Movie Night

This is an awesome picture from last Saturday's "Biker Movie Night" at Garage Company Customs. Josh launched over a barrel fire (and Bill's taint) on a dare. One of many memorable happenings from the night. Check out GarCo's blog http://garagecompanycustoms.com

and Kustom Jeff's Blog "What I See"

for more pictures!

Can't wait for the next one...

Back on the Road

Got the Ironhead back after some attention to the transmission. Can't wait to get out on the road tomorrow. Weather looks good so I'm heading over to GarCo for the Saturday shindig!

Chopper Live

I'm actually interested in seeing what Jesse James comes up with. I don't think he has a chance in HELL of winning (it's not his show or viewers) but I think it's pretty much a known fact that he's a better fabricator than OCC or PJD.

Between this on Monday/Tuesday and the SOA finale on Tuesday it's tv motorcycle overload!!!

DicE Issue #41

Spenser's sweet Shovel will be featured in Dice #41 (out soon). I can't wait to see how the shots came out. The photoshoot at BMR was pretty cool!

From the DicE blog:

Spenser's bike is like a roundhouse-ninja-wizard-kick to the goolies!

Whole lotta bottom ends...

I swung by Garage Co. Customs on Saturday for the usual round of "shoot the bull". Saturday was also the day that the "Long Haul Shovel" came home with me!

While I was there I noticed a whole lotta bottom ends exposed. Between Zoom's Panhead, Larry's Chop Off bike, and David's Panhead there were a ton of exposed bottoms!

Here's a shot of Larry's bike on the lift (not much room left...that bike is SUPER long!)

And here's a shot of my new workspace. We completed the move last weekend and I'm slowly getting my bearings. I look forward to working in this space over the winter to bring the "Long Haul Shovel" to life!

2011 Longboard Skateboard Championship - Barber Motorsports Park

I'm proud to have won the 2011 Longboard Skateboard Championships at Barber Motorsports Park! The idea came up around the campfire @ the Barber Vintage Festival. Alcohol was a contributing factor! Turns 3 and 4 were pretty sketchy at night! I had visions of road rash and hospital co-pays while bombing down the sweeping turn!

Me giving the boys the replay after we were back on the right side of the fence!

Thanks to Kustom Jeff for the paparazzi style coverage of this event!!!

Itchin' to start on the Long Haul Shovel

Winter is coming and I can't wait to get started on my "Long Haul Shovel". I will be on the lookout for a few more items at the Bama Swap and Drag in November.

I'm moving over the weekend and hope to get my shop up and running soon after.

It's probably hard to get a picture of what I'm going for but rest assured I can see this bike in my head! Can't wait to get started!!!

Gasbox Ironhead

Chop Cult did a feature on Gasbox in Ohio last week. Today they featured a sweet Ironhead that they built for a customer. This thing is rad...check out the feature here:

Awesome Indian

This 1940 Indian Scout showed up at the Garco swap meet spot on Sunday. I had to jump up and take some pictures even though I was EXHAUSTED from my record setting Longboard Run the night before!!!

Hopefully this bike will stay just as it is for another 71 years!
