That's a wrap

I put the finishing touches on the beer toter today.  Shipping out tomorrow to Minnesota.  Hope the owner "Digs" it...pun intended!

Ya Dig?

This is the latest leather project I've been working on.  The customer wanted a sissy-bar bag that could handle a sixer of bottles.

I had the perfect piece of leather for the flap.  It has a lot of character and some cool range marks.

Chop Cult Rules!

I've been a member of ChopCult since the fall of 2009.  They have an awesome "loyalty" system in which you earn "miles" for participating on their website.  You can redeem miles for merchandise (shirts, hats, stickers, etc.).  I cruised over to the miles store today and scored this awesome headlight mounting system.  The headlight on my Ironhead is cracking due to vibration and when it breaks I will use this new mount on a standard "Bates Style" round headlight.

Thanks to the guys at ChopCult for rewarding my addiction!!!!

Conte Kustoms Shindig

I had a great time Saturday night at the Conte Kustoms 1 year anniversary party.  The rain held off for a few hours.  Then it didn't.  Ross and I waited out the storm with the Conte crew and had fun.  I did a terrible job at taking pictures...here are a few.

Pretty good crowd despite the weather.

I'm stealing this idea for a tshirt.  Brilliant!

Thanks again to Raph and his brothers for the hospitality!

Picked up this front end today.  Chopper Gods sent one my way for a change.  Remember kids, don't do Meth!

Two up!

One of the main reasons I went with more of a "stock" look for my shovelhead was so that my wife could ride with me.  I've only owned 1 bike that she could ride two up and I had it during the time she was pregnant with our daughter.

I'm not sure if she will even like riding with me, but it made the "2 Bike" conversation a lot easier!

Here's some pictures of the great work that my buddy Ross did on my sissy bar.  The seat/sissy bar on this bike is my favorite part.  The front end is a close second.

It's at the stage where I can envision taking it down the road!  I can't wait for that day (whenever it comes)!!!

Monday Garage Time

Bill, Whitey, Larry and Ashley, and I had a great ride Sunday afternoon.  The weather was finally decent after several weeks of rain.  My bike was having issues again but I ended up riding about 100 miles.

I got in the garage tonight armed with some information on things to watch out for.  After an hour or so of tinkering, I think I've got her back on track.

I stopped by an interesting building near my house...turns out it's an office for a construction company.  Good times...for a Monday!

I've been struggling to get my bike timed after replacing yet another mechanical advance unit.  Getting back at it tonight.  Hopefully she will be running again soon!

Progress

I get really pumped on progress.  Even the smallest amount, seems to get me motivated to get this beast on the road.  Ross helped me overcome a hurdle today.  You're my boy, Ross!
