Kustom Kan Kooler

I made this Kustom Kan Kooler for Larry @ Garage Co. Customs. After I finished it he reminded me that he doesn't drink beer. Oh well, he can keep his "Hard Lemonade" cold with it!

This was a fun project...

Long Haul Shovel

I'm excited about my next project: "Long Haul Shovel". I'm in the early stages of gathering parts. I've got an FLH front end, stock frame (I'm leaving it swing arm), cone shovel engine and 4 speed ratchet top transmission.

I'll be on the lookout for panhead style 3.5 split tanks and a juice drum rear wheel set up at the Barbers Swap Meet.

I'm hoping the bike turns out like the one pictured above, with the only changes being a two up seat vs. solo. The goal is comfort for the "long haul"...longer road trips. I'm shooting for next year's Big Mountain Run for completion but am in no hurry!

Spenser's New Air Cleaner

Spenser whipped up this cool air cleaner out of an old Chevrolet Center Cap. He mentioned his idea a few months ago and he finally got around to making it happen. Well played Sir...well played indeed!

Excuse the crappy cell phone pictures (I didn't have my camera with me today at the shop).

Best Sticker Ever

Spenser had some AWESOME stickers made up. I can't wait to run this on my oil tank! Another piece of my shovel project falls into place! Thanks Spenser!

Less than a month...

I can't wait!!! I've got my camping spot reserved and a 3 day pass. Motorcycle overload is what I'm after! Hopefully I can score some bits for my shovelhead while I'm there.

Shane B. does it again!

Shane B. painted my vintage full-face helmet and KILLED it!!! I'm really stoked on how it came out. Now, my buddy Bill is going to re-line it for me. Can't wait to see how he finishes it off!

The detail in it is amazing!

I can't wait to rock this thing this winter!

Sunday September 11, 2011

Ross, Bill, David, Jesse and I took a nice ride on Sunday around Shelby County. We ended up on Lay Lake, Ross and Bill's old stomping ground. The weather was perfect and we had a good time hanging out by the lake.

On the way back we ended up stopping by a Confederate Cemetery in Shelby County. It was very quiet and gave us time to reflect on our Nations History. The tombstone below is 146 years old! Very appropriate in my opinion considering the magnitude of 9/11/11.

Our bikes parked at the Cemetery.

Another great ride with good friends. Perfect Sunday in my book!

Custom Chopper Luggage

Here is my second attempt at a saddlebag for my choppie. This version is a little slimmer and has bigger clasps that hopefully won't blow open going down the road. I'm really getting into leatherwork and hope to continue this hobby for some time.

I tried a new style of flap. I'm not sold on it yet but it's all about learning and perfecting the design for next time!

This bag went on a diet compared to my first. I can still run that bag on longer trips (like next year's Big Mountain Run)!!!

Side view of the bag installed.
